One author:

Two authors:

More than six authors:

[#] A. A. Author et alTitle, xth ed. City of Publisher, State (USA only), Country: Abbreviation of Publisher, year, ch. x, sec. x, pp. xxx-xxx.

Reference list example

Style notes

  • If the book is part of a series with a separate series title or volume number – you can include the series name and volume number following the book title in round brackets ().
    Example: Title of the Published Book (Series Title, vol. #).
  • Only include the information you have. For example: If it does not have an edition or publication city, you do not need to include them.
  • You only need to include information regarding chapters, sections, pages if you are citing a specific part of a work.
  • Names

  • In text citations: If there are more than three authors, use the primary author followed by et al.
  • In the reference list: If there are more than six names listed, use the primary author followed by et al.
