Summary

University of Melbourne corresponding authors can receive a 20% APC discount when publishing in eligible De Gruyter open access journals. Only De Gruyter's fully open access (Gold) journals are eligible. Eligible titles are reflected in our spreadsheet of all journals with APC discounts.

Eligible authors

To be eligible, the article's corresponding author must, at the time of submission, provide their University of Melbourne affiliation. This must be their first and primary affiliation in the publishing system and in the article itself.

How to use the discount

When possible, corresponding authors should use their unimelb email address (@unimelb.edu.au or @student.unimelb.edu.au). This email address should be used in the publisher's submission platform and all correspondence. This allows for easy verification of affiliation.

More information on De Gruyter’s submission processes can be found on their website.

Related agreement

The University has a Read and Publish agreement with De Gruyter that can fully cover APCs in some hybrid journals. Only De Gruyter hybrid journals to which the University subscribes are eligible.

See "Open access publishing agreements" on the Open Access Publishing page for details and eligibility requirements.
