Use this guide to create stable authenticated links to the Library's online resources. If instructions for linking to a resource are not here, please contact the Library for assistance.
OpenAthens
Generate links to most of the Library's online resources that automatically authenticate via the OpenAthens Redirector. OpenAthens link generator works with the majority of ebooks, articles, journals and streaming videos the Library subscribes to.
Other Library databases
Westlaw AU, UK and US link generator
EBSCO Discovery Search and Ebscohost databases: Use PermaLink provided by Ebsco. The PermaLink is an OpenAthens link that verifies user credentials and grants access.
ProQuest databases: Use “Copy URL” or “Share link” features in Proquest platforms to create a link to an article or eBook chapter. Links that contain “unimelb” or “12372” will function as an OpenAthens link allowing users to authenticate and sign in seamlessly.
