  • Parentheses (shown in previous editions of this manual) no longer enclose information about the presentation.
  • For online sources, include a publication date (or date of modification/revision). If no such date can be found, include an access date.
  • For guidance on citing more than one author, see Manual 14.76.
  • For sources consulted online, a URL or DOI should be included.
  • A paper included in the published proceedings of a conference may be treated like a chapter in a book or published in a journal, it is treated as a journal article. (see manual 14.22).
  • A place of publication is no longer required in citations.
  • Informal description of the presentation place can go in Parentheses or incorporated into the Type of presentation information.
