Non-English language sources

You may need to consult more than one section of Re:cite to accurately represent the source used. Your citation may look different depending on the number of authors it has. Check the frequently asked questions about Chicago A for further advice.

When citing Non English Language sources, follow the usual citation format for the source type. Include the original title in your footnote and bibliography entries, followed by an English translation of the title in square brackets. It is customary to romanise words or phrases from languages that do not use the Latin alphabet.

The citation examples below use the format for citing journal articles. Your citation may look different if you are citing another resource type.
