20% discount on Article Processing Charges (APCs) after a journal's annual open access publishing cap has been reached. Note that only Wiley's fully open access journals are capped under the new Wiley Read and Publish agreement.

Summary
This discount only comes into play when an annual open access publishing cap has been reached in the Wiley Read and Publish agreement.
University of Melbourne corresponding authors are eligible for a 10% APC discount (20% from 2026) when publishing in Wiley journals that were eligible under the open access publishing agreement before the cap was reached.
The University of Melbourne author must be the article's responsible corresponding author for the article to be eligible. Eligibility is determined at the time of article acceptance and the responsible corresponding author's completion of subsequent actions in the Author Services platform.

How to use the discount
When possible, corresponding authors should use their unimelb email address (@unimelb.edu.au or @student.unimelb.edu.au). This email address should be used in the publisher's submission platform and all correspondence. This allows for easy verification of affiliation.
Related agreement
The University has a Read and Publish agreement with Wiley, which will cover the APCs of eligible articles in most Wiley journals until caps are reached.
2025 discount
In 2025, this was a 10% discount on Article Processing Charges (APCs). It came into effect after a journal's annual open access publishing cap has been reached.
