Renewing your items
Items will be automatically renewed unless
- Someone else has requested the item.
- You have fines amounting to $25 or over.
- You have already reached your limit for renewals (limits will vary depending on item type; please see tables below).
- You have another item on your record that is overdue.
Items that will be automatically renewed
- 7 day loans
- 28/90 day loans

Manually renewing items
Item | When you can renew |
---|---|
7 day loan | 3 days before the due date, and up to 3 days after the due date. |
28/90 day loan | 7 days before the due date, and up to 7 days after the due date. You will not incur any fines if you renew during this period. |
How to manually renew items
Online
Log into your record online and renew items. If another user has requested your item, it is non-renewable, or it's too soon to renew, then a message will display.
Log into your library borrowing record
Library chat service
Just type into the online chat box on the library home page for assistance.
Loans desk
Bring the items to the desk or indicate to staff the items to be renewed on the screen.
Self-service machines
Items can be renewed by scanning them on a self-service machine.
