Tips for this reference type

APA 7 Publication Manual, pp. 335–336, example 72.

● Unpublished works include work that is in progress, has been submitted but not yet accepted for publication.

● Refer to the final published version of your sources when possible.

● Remember to update your references prior to publication of your work or submitting your work.

● Do not list the name of the journal to which was submitted.

● Once the manuscript is accepted, it can be cited as a manuscript accepted for publication (Journal article - in press).

● A manuscript submitted for publication is not available online. If it is available online, cite it similar to an advanced online publication or informally published work from a preprint archive.
