This session explores the current open access landscape and takes researchers through the what, why, and how of making research publications open.

In this webinar, we explore the open access pathways available for scholarly publications such as journal articles, conference papers, and books and book chapters. Topics covered include:

  • The benefits of open access, including the open access citation advantage;
  • Funder open access policies and the University’s updated Principles for Open Access;
  • How to publish open access, including using the University’s open access publishing agreements;
  • How to make your work open access in repositories, including the University’s institutional repository, Minerva Access;
  • Navigating author agreements and Creative Commons licences; and
  • Recent global developments in open access and scholarly publishing.
