Brownless Biomedical Collections

Print Collection

Items in the library collection can be located using the library catalogue. Please refer to the floor plans for the location of each collection.

Brownless Basement study space and High Use Room study space will not be accessible from Monday 18th of March. High Use, Biomed ST and Print Journals are currently being relocated, in preparation for the Brownless Biomedical Library's closure at the conclusion of Semester 1, 2024.

General Collection, Second Floor

An extensive collection of print resources in areas such as botany, dental science, nursing, medicine, physiotherapy, population health and rural health, psychology and behavioural science, social work, veterinary science and zoology. Items in this collection are available for 28 day loan.

High Use Collection, Ground Floor

High-Use Collections previously located on the Ground Floor will now be accessible on Level 2 of the Brownless Biomedical Library, or the Baillieu Library High-Use Collections area. It is recommended to check the library catalogue or consult the Service Desk for instruction on where and how to access collections.

History of Medicine, Journals and Stacks Collection, Basement

Biomed ST and Print Journals previously located on the basement floor will re-locate off-campus. It is recommended to check the library catalogue or consult the Service Desk for instruction on where and how to access collections.

Online Resources

The library has an excellent collection of online resources available to all students, anytime, anywhere. Discovery combines the information from the library catalogue, the digital repository and many databases into a single database for a fast and thorough search.
