Returning your items

You should return items before, or on, the day they are due.

We provide external returns chutes for after hours returns at all our libraries. If you return items in an external returns chute after hours on the due date, they will not be checked in until the following morning, or the next day the library is open.

Where to return your library items

You can return your items to any location. We encourage you to return High Use items to the library you borrowed them from so they can be made immediately accessible to the next person. Items returned to other branches take a day or two to get back to their home library.

Place your items in the returns chute or use one of our self-returns machines.

Length of time for items to come off your record

• Self-returns machine: immediately
• Internal returns chute: up to a few hours, or the next day the library is open if returned after hours
• External returns chute: the next morning, or the next day the library is open
