Borrowers from other universities and TAFES

Students from other institutions in Victoria, as well as from interstate can register to borrow from our libraries free of charge as part of two reciprocal borrowing programs we participate in.

Please note: Open University students are not eligible to participate in either of these reciprocal borrowing schemes.

Students and staff from international universities may also be able to register with us.

Borrowing is limited to low-use items and there is no access to electronic resources.

Your letter from your University should be written in English and should include the following points:

- that you are a current student in good standing with no library penalties or conditions attached to your record.
- a statement that the University are willing to indemnify you for any losses or fines that you may receive whilst using our library, and which are not resolved before you leave.
- the period of time they are willing to indemnify you for.
- contact details for someone at your University we can contact if we need to follow up.

You can also register online.  You will need to bring your photo ID and documentation to a service desk to confirm your registration before you can borrow.
