POLICY

  • The Southbank Library “Pop Out” Space (Level 1) is available for booking by university staff and students. University staff and students can request a booking which will be confirmed by Library staff.
  • The space may be made unavailable for block periods during busy times to facilitate library sessions.
  • All booking requests are to be made via the form on the library website or by emailing FAM-librarians@unimelb.edu.au
  • The Southbank Library “Pop Out” space is only available during library opening hours.
  • Library staff will advise whether you will need to post signage within the Hub and Library spaces to alert other users to potential noise.

HOUSEKEEPING

  • The library does not provide any assistance with set up, cleaning, catering etc.
  • Ensure you allow enough time in your booking for set up and pack up.
  • Clear all rubbish into the bins provided.
  • Ensure the space is kept clean and is returned to its original layout.
  • If you notice any problems with the space, please inform library staff at the Service Desk.

ACCESSIBILITY

  • Access via lift during library opening hours.
  • 2 x 2 stairs into the lower levels.
  • Space is not fitted with a hearing loop.
  • Space is well lit with natural light and adjustable shade blinds.
