Interested in becoming a Wikipedian and improving the open educational content of this online encyclopedia? This workshop will be a short introduction to how Wikipedia works, and an overview of the basics of editing for new and beginning editors.  This is an optional pre-event workshop for researcHERs @ UoM Wikipedia Edit-a-thon. The University of Melbourne Library is hosting researcHERs @ UoM Wikipedia Edit-a-thon, a one day event to be on Friday 25 August 2017. The objective of the day is to improve the representation of women on Wikipedia. Our focus at the Edit-a-thon will be on the women in research and research about women at the University of Melbourne.
