Style notes for this reference type

  • To help with subsequent references, you can add a short title to Acts or parts of Acts. See 3.1.7.
  • The list of abbreviations for Australian jurisdiction can be found at 3.1.3.
  • Pinpoint references comprise of an abbreviation of a designation, then a number. They are separated by a space. See 3.1.4 for the correct abbreviation to use for designations (e.g. section, clause, division) or 3.4 for the correct abbreviations for delegated legislation.
  • Short titles and pinpoint references should be removed for your bibliography.
