Endnote and systematic reviews
Use EndNote to manage your systematic reviews.
For guidance on undertaking systematic reviews, see the Systematic Reviews library guide
If you are using EndNote to manage your references, there are some tricks to finding and removing duplicate items.
Set preferences
Go to the Preferences Menu and select Duplicates
Ensure Author, Year, Title is checked and click Save.
Pass 1
Run the system duplicate search - Library > Find Duplicates but Cancel the Wizard
Cancelling the Wizard will highlight the duplicates so you can simply drag these to Trash in one action.
Pass 2
Go to Preferences (Settings in Mac) > Duplicates and deselect Author. Save
Run the system duplicate search again - Library > Find Duplicates
Once again, cancel the Wizard and drag the highlighted references to Trash
Pass 3
Sort library by Year then Title and do a manual scan. Drag duplicates to Trash as you find them.
Pass 4
