Endnote and systematic reviews

Use EndNote to manage your systematic reviews.

If you are using EndNote to manage your references,  there are some  tricks to  finding and removing duplicate items.

Set preferences

Go to the Preferences Menu and select Duplicates

Ensure Author, Year, Title is checked and click Save.

Pass 1

Run the system duplicate search - Library > Find Duplicates but Cancel the Wizard

Cancelling the Wizard will highlight the duplicates so you can simply drag these to Trash in one action.

Pass 2

Go to Preferences (Settings in Mac) > Duplicates and deselect Author. Save

Run the system duplicate search again - Library > Find Duplicates

Once again, cancel the Wizard and drag the highlighted references to Trash

Sort library by Year then Title and do a manual scan. Drag duplicates to Trash as you find them.
