2016 International Museums and Collections Award recipient announced

University of Birmingham student Emily Robins has been selected as the UK recipient of the 2016 International Museums and Collections Award.

Completing her third year of a Bachelor of Arts degree (History of Art), Emily will commence her month-long placement at Melbourne in August where she will work closely with the museums and cultural collections of the University. Emily is particularly interested in museum education, collection access and exploring the interface between art and science, so the University’s collections should provide the perfect opportunity to pursue these areas. The reciprocal part of the exchange will see a Melbourne student selected in September to travel to the University of Birmingham to similarly work with their collections and museums.

Emily’s blog of her cultural adventures in Melbourne will be accessible through the Museums and Collections website in August.
