Visiting the library

University of Melbourne Staff and Students
All our libraries are open
All our libraries are open to all visitors, including members of the public, who meet the University's COVID-19 vaccine requirements . Please visit our Library Opening Hours for opening dates and times.
To enter a Library building, all University staff and students must:
- be fully vaccinated* or have an authorised medical exemption
- have uploaded proof of vaccination or authorised medical exemption in advance and received a validation email (please see the Vaccination at the University of Melbourne webpage for instructions)
- check-in with the Service Victoria QR code
- carry University ID and swipe into the building
- carry a mask at all times and wear them as per current advice from the Victorian government
- maintain 1.5m physical distancing.

Non-University Visitors
Libraries open to non-University visitors
All University of Melbourne Libraries have resumed full library services and are open to all visitors, including members of the public, who meet the University's COVID-19 vaccine requirements . Please visit our Library Opening Hours for 2022 opening dates and hours.
To enter a University of Melbourne Library, all visitors must:
- be fully vaccinated* or have an authorised medical exemption
- check-in with the Service Victoria QR code
- show proof of vaccination status
- carry photo identification
- carry a mask at all times and wear them as per current advice from the Victorian government
- maintain 1.5m physical distancing.

Reading Room
The Reading Room is open to all eligible readers Monday to Friday by appointment.

Borrowing in Person
University staff and students

Non-University visitors
Currently, non-University visitors who meet the University's COVID-19 vaccine requirement are able to borrow in-person from all libraries.

Print Retrievals
The Print Retrieval Service will be available to University staff and students who are unable to attend campus. To request an item to be posted to your Australian address, please follow the instructions outlined on our print resources page.
