Eastern Resource Centre Collections

The Eastern Resource Centre collections support the teaching, learning and research needs of undergraduate students, graduate students, and researchers from the:

  • Melbourne School of Engineering,
  • Melbourne School of Information,
  • Faculty of Science,
  • Melbourne Graduate School of Science, and
  • Melbourne School of Land and Environment.

In the library

The collections include printed texts, such as books and journals, as well as maps, software, CDs and DVDs. Items located in the ERC library have locations in the catalogue that begin with UniM ERC, such as:

  • UniM ERC: books located on level 5,
  • UniM ERC P:  periodicals (or journals) located on level 5,
  • UniM ERC MAPS: maps books located in the maps collection on level 4,
  • UniM ERC REF: reference works such as encyclopaedias located on level 3, and
  • UniM ERC Open High Use: materials available on short-term loan located on level 3.

In storage off-campus

Many older items are held in storage and you can make a request for them to be delivered to a library branch of your choice. These items have location codes in the catalogue that begin with:

  • UniM Store: items held in a library storage facility off-campus.
  • UniM Bund: items held in the library's storage facility in Bundoora.
