Use GIS and Digital Maps in the Library

You can access and create GIS datasets and digital maps using software in our computer room. Most of our licenses allow University of Melbourne staff and students to take copies of data for research and educational use. Appointments are required.

VicMap is a range of detailed digital maps provided by the Victorian Government Department of Environment and Primary Industries. We buy new VicMap layers annually and create new datasets for suburbs for University of Melbourne staff members and students.
