Print Collection

Items in the library collection can be located using the library catalogue. Please refer to the floor plans for the location of each collection.

General Collection, Second Floor

An extensive collection of print resources in areas such as botany, dental science, nursing, medicine, physiotherapy, population health and rural health, psychology and behavioural science, social work, veterinary science and zoology. Items in this collection are available for 28 day loan.

High Use Collection, Ground Floor

Located behind the service desk, the High Use area houses a collection of prescribed and recommended texts available for short loan periods (overnight or seven day loans). Student requests are also available for collection in this area.

History of Medicine, Journals and Stacks Collection, Basement

The basement of The Brownless Biomedical Library houses special and stacks collections, as well as a wide range of print journals. Items appearing in the catalogue with the codes “UniM BioMed ST” or “UniM BioMed H” can usually be found in this area. Lending conditions for the basement collections vary, so please see library staff for more information.

Online Resources

The library has an excellent collection of online resources available to all students, anytime, anywhere. Discovery combines the information from the library catalogue, the digital repository and many databases into a single database for a fast and thorough search.
