The Library's Professional Cadetship Program provides a fantastic opportunity for cadets to be paid whilst gaining valuable professional experience at one of Australia's top academic libraries whilst studying.

Joining this program at the University of Melbourne Library will enable you to work in one of the largest research and academic libraries in Australia and our collections are amongst the countries richest and oldest. You will also have the opportunity to work with experienced library professionals in a dynamic and stimulating environment of researchers and academics.

Today's Cadets will help shape tomorrow's future. This program will deliver tools and meaningful, quality work based learning experiences that will help you become a first class librarian in the 21st Century. Cadets can experience a range of University facilities, including student and recreation facilities as well as exciting new library and teaching space redevelopments which are enabling new 21st Century digital library services to be developed. Participants in the cadetship program will be able to participate in and contribute to these new initiatives.
