Object Based Learning & Arts West

This presentation will provide an introduction to the University’s newest building Arts West which is the new home for the Bachelor of Arts.  Arts West is a dedicated space for teaching, academic and public engagement and will facilitate wider access to, and use of,  the University’s vast cultural collections by embedding them in the academic curriculum of the Faculty of Arts. The building is equipped with 2 purpose-built object based labs, which will allow students to directly engage with objects as part of their studies as well as range of display cases and a ground floor exhibition space.  These spaces will be an opportunity to further highlight and profile the University’s vast array of cultural collections and will provide enhanced research opportunities.
