Output Styles

EndNote uses output styles to format references in a bibliography.

EndNote comes with over 5,000 output styles.

You can add additional output styles to EndNote:

  1. Close EndNote.
  2. Find the file you need in the list below.
  3. Right click (Mac users: control + click) on the link to save the file to disk.
  4. Save the file in the Style folder in the EndNote folder on your computer.

This is an Author-Date style as described in the "Style manual for authors, editors and printers", 6th edition (2002).

For this style to work you must enter footnote information in the Label field of the Endnote reference template:

  • Enter author and date in this way:Wittkower 1961
  • If there is more than one author, enter the names
