Baillieu library

A redevelopment of Level 2 of the Baillieu is currently underway to upgrade and significantly improve the amenity of this space for students.

There will be 577 seats accommodated on Level 2, an increase of 60 seats, with a choice of seating options offered, including group, individual and booth style seating with almost all seats having access to power.

STAGES

The construction work is being carried out in 2 stages, with Stage 1 covering the south and central part of the floor from the end of April, to be completed by the end of July 2017. The second stage covers the north side of the floor and works will be carried out from the end of July until the end of October 2017.

COLLECTIONS

All collections will remain on site during the construction so staff and students will have access to collections.

The book collection from 700 - 799 has been relocated to Level 3:

The 400s, 500s & 600s have been moved from one end of Level 2 to the other to accommodate building work, books will be accessible at all times during all stages of construction:

We have also relocated some seating from this floor to Lower Ground and Level 1.

Phase 3: Level 2: JUL/AUG - OCT/NOV 2017

Collections on Level 2 will be moved back to the newly completed south end of this floor.
