The Bald Collection is a small but significant collection of English literature. Numbering about 200 volumes, its main strengths are in the 17th century (particularly John Donne) and the Romantics, most notably Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
The collection was bequeathed to the University by Professor R C Bald (1901-1965), graduate of the University of Melbourne and Professor in English at the University of Chicago from 1952 to 1965. This is a scholar's working collection and as such it reflects his particular academic interests and pursuits.
The Bald collection is fully catalogued online.
