High-use collections contain readings and books recommended by lecturers and tutors. They have 2 hour, 3 hour, overnight, and 7 day loan periods.

Borrowing from high-use collections

Only university staff and students can borrow items from our high use collections. High-use items can't be renewed but feel free to grab another copy, or the same copy, once it hits the shelves again.

Hourly loans

You can borrow 2 items.

Hourly loans borrowed overnight:

2 hour loans 3 hour loans

You can borrow 2 hour loans overnight if you borrow them within 2 hours of closing time.

They are due 1 hour after the library opens the next day.

You can borrow 3 hour loans overnight if you borrow them within 3 hours of closing time.

They are due 1 hour after the library opens the next day.

Overnight loans

Overnight loans can be returned any time during opening hours the next day, or the next day the library is open.
